Why did you choose to practice pediatrics?
Always have loved working with children. Pediatrics allows for making a positive impact on children’s health and well-being, as well as providing support and guidance to parents and caregivers.
What is most rewarding about your work?
Building trusting relationships with young patients and their families.
How does being a parent help in the way you provide care and work with your patients and their families?
I am more able to empathize with parents and treat children as I would desire my children to be treated.
When working with your patients and their families, what is your approach?
Always try to listen to parents/caregivers concerns regarding their child’s healthcare needs. Look for opportunities to educate whenever possible to instill confidence for making decisions regarding their child’s care.
How do you stay healthy and happy?
Spending quality time with family and friends. Enjoy opportunities for volunteering. Love outdoor activities especially boating and spending time on the water.
